Idaho Nursing Home Medicaid — FundingDependency.com

Idaho nursing-home coverage begins with DHW

Idaho DHW says Medicaid may pay a portion of nursing-home costs for people entering a nursing home. The agency describes eligibility as depending on income, resources, and household circumstances, and says a person may qualify immediately or after paying some nursing-home bills personally (Idaho DHW nursing-home coverage).

Financial approval does not itself establish the service need. DHW says a person needing nursing-home or HCBS services must complete a Level of Care Determination after the person is determined financially eligible for Medicaid (Idaho DHW Level of Care guidance).
